Comments: - - Congrats Lucaas! Just a couple of weeks ago, 6 C-130's flew directly over my head, my estimate is only about 1,000ft above me. They looped around and I got to see them fly from a couple miles away in a straight-line fromation. It was awesome.
Thank you! My fiancé is an aircraft mechanic and he loves your channel. He stared showing me these videos and I have learnt so much, and I’ve been able to better understand what he does at work, he explains stuff to me through these videos. Through the weeks we’ve come to anticipate the release of the next video and it’s a weekly tradition to watch them together.
I had my first scary moment flying yesterday afternoon. My instructor was having me practice short field, soft field, and no flap landings at KCOS, and while doing a short field landing (so low airspeed), a jet's wake turbulence must have been lingering for like 4 minutes, and when I hit it the right wing dropped and stalled. Luckily I had the right reaction!
Only seen 40 seconds of this video and I know I've found the gold mine of unfortunate aviation events. I cant wait to watch when I get home and Im also subscribing.
That little antenna thing sticking up above the cockpit of the helicopter is a safety device called WSPS (Wire Strike Protection System). It's made exactly for cutting power lines the pilot might run into. Unfortunately, they're only functional at speeds above 25kts.
