Very good video thank you. I'm pretty certain the Continental W670 depicted Was a nice old air cooled radial, or round engine, as the Americans call it... NOT a V12 liquid cooled. Ducted fan cooled modified aircraft engine. I'm not a rivet counter, I just worked on a few of them
The Meteor tank engine, is actually a Rolls Royce Merlin, that didn't pass the test to become an aeroengine. They were then downgraded to app. 750 HP, and used amongst other as a tank engine.
I shared it with a buddy that was a cold war Tanker in Korea. My Jr. High Janitor was a Sherman crew man that served under General Patton. I miss old Abe.
the sheridan wasnt light weight with better suspension to improve power to weight and cross country. the lighter weight and suspension was so it could be airdropped by parachute. turns out the armor being so light made the tank so weak, it never caught on and the program was abandoned.
