Com: dough hasley: Good idea but one thing he forgot to mention though, you need to have your ignition switch in the on position (not accessory) or it won't work. The car supplies power to the alternator to excite the rotor (the part the belt drives when the engine is running) . The car has to cut power to it when it is shut off or the battery will always go dead and you would go thru alot of alternators. Besides that, good idea..
