The man in the green Tani Agung (great farmer) shirt is very impressive with the way he predicts and anticipates the tree's behavior as he cuts. I have seen tree felling done here in Alabama completed by "professionals" with all kinds of safety gear and recognize from the comparison that the man in this video is a lot safer with what he does then my crew here was. Safety equipments is no substitute for competency.

Watching this was pretty incredible from about 100 different ways of considering it. That is valuable timber they are pulling out but clearly.....life is cheap in southeast Asia. The guy going up the tree barefoot and releasing tension (by free hand cutting) on limbs measuring easily in the metric ton range without falling off or dropping the saw was jaw dropping.

Like I said before, I used to work for my Uncle in the 80s for more than 10 years. He was an Arborist and was very strict with Safety in his Tree Business. Two of my family members died from Tree trimming Business and they were fully equipped with safety gears when these incidents happened. Non of them were working for my Uncle. Anyway, I believed without a doubt that when you are too confident in whatever you do, thinking that nothing is gonna happen, that 's when it become dangerous.
