Com - Kate: Disaster!! Dirt Removal & Last Day of Harvest 2021. Montana Today's video is the last day of our 2021 Montana Wheat Harvest. This is a disaster because not once, but twice, I hit my combine head on dirt and rocks!!! I've never done this before. I had to dig my head out of the ground. My father helped me and I was very sorry that I broke my combine. I learned a lot and couldn't finish the final harvest because I had to take my combine home to drop the head onto the tray and remove any remaining dirt. Once I ground my combine I can say I'm doing really well!
Comments: - - Please put your hair under a hat or in a ball while Kate works on these machines. You girls should know how dangerous it is to do this with long hair. I just saw a video of a farmer getting his head cut off while wearing a scarf and it tripped on the electric draw and IT WAS NOT A BEAUTIFUL LOOK! BE ATTENTION!
I'm wondering if it would be faster to drop the header to unplug it. You do a good job even wearing it. My sisters never operated any farm equipment, just the men and my brother couldn't leave the farm/farm fast enough, mostly because of how he was treated.
You are still learning, such mistakes are normal and your dad is a great man who always supports you and helps you, that's the most important thing. In a few years you will be a professional farmer with extensive knowledge of operating these heavy machinery, so keep up the good work and nice and interesting videos. Your awesome personality is so rare in this harsh world, so stay put!
Just shows that even the most experienced "drivers" will at times have situations that they've never done before! YOU go girl! But there is good news with this, your Dad was there to assist you and reassure you, you understand that stuff happens no matter how careful you are, and just use a good attitude to get the "repair" done. I really appreciate your videos.
