Trees fall in an instant, yet it takes hundreds of years for them to grow and form this complex ecosystem. When I watch these powerful machines at work, I can’t help but feel a profound sense of loss, as if the heartbeat of nature is slowly fading under the unforgiving force of technology. Logging might be a necessary part of modern life, but the price seems too high when entire forests disappear and ecosystems are destroyed, perhaps never to be seen again
