I see at least 3 men out of work on the skid sight, and a dozen out of work in the bush. Big Companies get greedy and cut costs, to make more money. There is no loyalty to workers any more, and certainly no respect for the country side. Yes the trees are a plantation crop, but the bloody soil is NOT
Incredible... and scary. Looks like one of the machines from HG Wells' War of the Worlds. Raises some questions.. how much does one of those things cost? What is the whole team of forestry workers now doing that used to do that job before it got mechanized? ( Not risking life and limb I suppose, so that's a good thing perhaps)
Just a word of caution to any manual fallers out there watchin' this sooner or later they have to retreat but in the process they do something like the first tree felled on this video. and they disrupt and smash the canopy all to shit. Ya no how were lookin' up all the time, well,, cleanin' up after these guys take extra caution. even though this winch thing is kool , you gotta know when to turn around, and spread the love.
