Incredible Female Pilot Flying Fighter Jet. “The aircraft won’t forgive any mistakes. It doesn’t matter if you are a man or a woman, we are all pilots,” says Lt Katarzyna Tomiak-Siemieniewicz, the first-ever female fighter MiG-29 fighter pilot in the Polish Air Force.
I love woman in aviation and somehow trust them more. I think, woman are just a little bit more responsible, a little bit more careful and a little bit less aggressive than we men are. In civil aviation, I´m always totally relaxed when there´s at least one woman in the cockpit.
I guess the Polish air force is really proud over have one of the best 4 generation fighters in the world. I wish they will buy the new Mig-35 for the future. This stealth advantage will soon be over, and then it is the most maneuverable fighter jets with the best weapons that will win, and sure Poland will buy Russian air to air R-77 off course!
I don't care who's in control of those aircraft as long as they have the ability and the right stuff when needed, Man or Woman, and with the exception of a few body parts, we are ALL equal!
The days of scrambling for the aircraft are long gone, with the advancement of high-tech radar. Now it's the leisurely walk around and salutes
Is it often or common that the same fighter jet is shared by multiple pilots? I've always thought one fighter jet is given a dedicated crew at a time - particularly the flight crew. Just like they're given their own dedicated pistol or rifle. I've noticed in this clip that the US female pilots where flying planes that had male names on the sides of the cockpits (excl. the F35). If this is so, why even paint a single pilot and WSO's name on the plane?
