ship size
Wonder of the Seas is considered an extra-large sized ship. Measuring 1,188 ft. tall and 210 ft. wide, this building is roughly 3.3 football fields long, 4 tractor-trailers wide, and is the same height as a 16-story building. Compared to Royal Caribbean's Odyssey of the Seas, Wonder of the Seas is 40% larger in total tons.
Number of passengers
Royal Caribbean Wonder of the Seas has 37% more passengers on a double (two people per room) basis than Odyssey of the Seas. When you compare the total tonnage of the ship to the number of passengers or what we call the "Space Ratio", Wonder of the Seas has less space per person than the Odyssey of the Seas. That doesn't mean you'll always feel packed like a sardine on board. Some of the largest ships use innovative and architectural features to feel more spacious, such as neighborhoods and districts to disperse the crowd.
