Another week of the 2021 harvest has come and gone and it's still wet. We even had to remove a half stuck in the mud with a combine. We are making progress, albeit slowly. There are some drones making 900,000 Bushel Stacks at the CGB in Lyles Station, Indiana, and we finally cut our Liberty vs Enlist Soybean test. I got a lot of grain pile questions in this video.
I'm in Grand Island for a few weeks guys,,,,, literally just down the road from the harvester factory! And there is so much to choose from in the garden. I thought it was funny that the plant was right here in the middle of a lot of corn and beans. There were a couple of Deere combine harvesters right next to the factory when I came into town on Friday.
Another good video. George, I'm glad to see the video you worked on the fan again. I'm an electrician and while working on the engine starter I noticed that you don't have safety glasses. Then I realized that while walking around the fan with the camera, I noticed that the connection on the fan motor was closed. Glad to see this. I know how detonating a 480v starter motor can do to your own personnel safety and the environment. Stay safe and keep posting great videos.
The dots on the rear of the combine are for attaching it to a trailer for towing. I was warned by a seller pulling from these shipping ports that at least one man bent the sieve guard resulting in the sieves no longer fitting properly. Just a FYI! I know tomorrow doesn't hang around like you say. Wrapping a longer chain around the rear of the axle frame is the strongest pull point, according to the dealer.
Great video! I've never run a combi. Lots and lots of balers and swathers, but they never go together. And I hear a lot of people say great things about Case. I always wanted to make a great comparison between them and other big players (JD, New Holland and Claas). Most of the comparisons I've seen are big players trying to strengthen their products by undercutting the competition.
