Max: international harvester td20 bulldozers in the 1950s used a gas/diesel cold starting system, they used to start them on gas then change over to diesel.
they had levers to change compression ratio and choice of fuel, they also needed spark plugs and a carb. it was a great alternative to start large diesels. Davidsfarms channel shows the procedure
