Wonderful video, thank you for posting, it brings back a lot of memories, I completed my apprenticeship in armature winding in December 1965, and how times have changed, hand taping 3.3 Kv coils, and large magnets, definitely team work on the big generators and motors, happy days and good memories.
I enjoy seeing large motors being rewound. Many years ago I rebuilt large starters alternators generators for heavy equipment trucks and automotive, small compared to these monsters.
Love this I worked at Mobile Pulley we had a couple 22-24 foot diameter chucks VBM with about 15 foot in z axis I really enjoy machining the large stuff looks very professional guys very professional good looking shop
This reminds me of the early seventies when I worked for GEC Gas turbine installing 90mw quad gas turbines generators powered by 4 , Rolls-Royce
Lets make the worlds largest Pulse motor and run it off a 12 volt car battery and a single 2n3055 transistor, a 500ohm reisstor and 2 1N4007 diodes !!
