Oak cut with Stihl 090G and MS880 / long version
730,637 views • 6 Mar 2014 • This oak was about 9 meters long and 180 centimeters in diameter at the largest point. It was cut with a Stihl 090G and a Stihl MS880, each with a 150cm cutting set. The wood was later processed into table tops. NO firewood was made from it!
Comments: - - Everyone writes about the saws here, but I find the tree much more interesting the oldest thing we have here is 300 years old and is not even nearly as thick as the part, how old is it, probably 500
Hi Stephan. Good to connect with you. I see you're a tree surgeon. I was one also. I am interested in what you do. I have a few small questions regarding tree surgeons and their struggles. I was wondering as a tree surgeon do you struggle with back pain?
It appears as if a new saw, a new bar and a new chain BUT, I don't see chips, I see saw dust which tells me that chain is really dull. Unless a special chain for making slabs. Any one guessing?
For everyone who doesn't understand German: The wood was used to make dining tables, not firewoord. I read that accusation a few times in the comments.
