If you are lucky and you look at the sky at the right time at the James Valley Threshing Show, you may have seen a drone over the field hovering over one activity and then over the other. It was Jason Mentele's drone that filmed the sights that made this show such a great adventure. He managed to capture important events in a way that our ancestors could never have imagined! Indeed it represents an important meeting of the past with the newest creations of the 21st century.
Sit back and get the full experience. The video opens early in the morning when the fields and tractor show and the sawmill are getting ready for the crowds coming soon. From there, we are taken to an incredible threshing show, where the guys and powerful big steam engines do the labor-intensive work of separating the grains from the hay heaps lining the field.
And then to the largest farming demonstrations in the country, it shows huge loud and powerful steam tractors that shake the ground and fill the sky with black smoke as they pull their multi-bottom plows through harsh meadow lands. Thanks to human transport vehicles, golf carts, and other small vehicles that can go right next to the engines, it is possible for demonstrators to get the closest possible view of these steam tractors and the hard-working field hands engaged in agriculture as it was done a century ago. . Exciting!
