My Daughter wants a horse, being as our ground is hard packed sandy clay, normal hammer style pounders won't work. I had to fab up a heavy duty tamper style pounder to get the job done.
Federico: Good looking rig! Not to familiar with that type of packer. What size/model is it, and about what do they cost?

What size/model is it, and about what do they cost? Looking at something like this or the Hammer from Danuser.
We have hard packed clay/hardpan here as well, and I don't want to buy something that won't/can't do the job..
Com: The divine : nice! but I don't know why you are showing the driver to come forward after the post has been inserted in the ground, its just a waste of fuel, time, and you arm will hurt after a while:) nice unit..
Com: Foster price : Hello (from down in New Zealand) I hope your daughter is getting on well with her horse - I'm a horseman and fencer down here! Older video now but I see you are still looking in sometimes.
I'm looking at building one of these units and wonder if you could please be as specific as possible about the specifications of your hoe-pac unit, I'd like to know its weight, power, oil flow required (both as speced and what you estimate it took i.e. how hard did you run the carrier). I note you were right onto it regards where to place the post guide ring!
