why not offset the air chanel the full width of your square tube to induce swirl in the riser?

Try the push from your right hand to the left starting on the right.
Weave or swirl creates better penetration you may find your amps could be dropped a little. Ive not built a rocket stove but agree with others.
The pot is on the wrong end, updraft would be lost as the riser is affectively shorter and gas is coming back out. Put a flap to block the fuel feed.
With a slide gate you could create a throttle on the air inlet for cooking.
