Say hello to the latest weapon against snow covered highways in B.C., the Tow Plow, a new technology used to maintain our roads. This unit is actually two plows in one; it allows one truck and operator to do the equivalent of two passes, which translates into cleared roads, faster!

Comments: - While the tow plow may look very wide and difficult to handle, it is more responsive than the traditional wing plows; the operator can quickly manoeuvre around obstacles on the road like signs or parked cars. This is fairly new technology, and you can expect to see them on selected B.C. highways this.

the police officer is right you cannot pass these trucks safely do be patient and remain 200 feet behind look at it this way you have clean pavement in front of you if you stay behind if you pass you will run into snow and slide with a 35 ton truck coming at you

What a joke.  Turns out they can only plow at 1/2 the speed of a single plow truck.  Results are a large line up of cars and trucks behind these things creating a larger carbon foot print.
