23/12/2013 Traffic accident with tractor ends well
SPUI - In the Zeeland-Flemish town of Spui a tractor landed on top of a passenger car this morning. No one was seriously injured.
The accident happened just before 8 am on the Spui. A tractor with a trailer behind it and an excavator on it landed on top of the passenger car of a 67-year-old woman from Terneuzen. The car came from the opposite direction. The two wanted to drive into the narrowing at the same time.
Miraculously the passenger of the car was not trapped. As far as is known, the woman was not seriously injured. According to police, the woman suffered some pain in her neck from the accident.
The road is completely blocked due to the accident. The police started an investigation on the spot. It is now clear that the excavator was not secured to the trailer. Bergers are going to see how they can clear the way again.
The 49-tractor driver from Sluiskil remained unharmed, but does receive a police report because the machine was not properly secured to the trailer.
