Hundreds gathered in the Marinette Marine shipyard on Saturday to see the christening and launch of the U.S. Navy's Freedom-class Littoral Combat Ship, future USS Billings (LCS 15). The ship's sponsor, Sharla Tester, wife of Sen. Tester (D-MT), broke a bottle of sparkling wine across the bow of the ship before it was launched sideways into Lake Michigan.
