When I was working for a large gas utility I did hot taps with bypass the reinstall section. Up to 80psi and bagged low pressure ci mains . I also watched a whole section of my city install new storm drain system. Started 10x12 concrete sections up to 30ft deep followed by new sewer, water, gas, and some telephone lines. 4 different clean out vaults at key intersections. It was amazing watching over a decade

Basically it's just a modified TBM. Combination of TBM & HDD tech. Utilizes a steerable cutting head. I started doing HDD way back in 1993.
