COMMENTS: - - Very interesting. I have seen these beasts at construction sites for years and wondered what they could do that a dozer couldn't. Now I know. Thanks!
Well that's one of the things they can do he just knows a little more then most my dad ran one they can move the shit out of the blades angle curves all kinds of grading
I worked and retired from a co hwy dept 35 years service HEO and learned how to run a grader . I used to do this where is was useful to do so . (some of the workers even my foreman would look at me like I was nuts) but it worked great ! I loved how versatile these machines are and became pretty decent at what I did ! Lots of fun and a great learning experience !
There are a number of those slope that can be pulled with the grader on the slope most of those blades can run all day long on a 3 to 1 slope with out being articulated. Been there done that.
My Uncle Richard Dean Palmer was in charge of making the D24 at Caterpillar. He is retired now, but he worked his way up from sweeping the floors to draftsman and over saw 26 people to make this CAT. I am so proud of him.
