The Cat 7495 electric shovel is actually just a rebadged and repainted Bucyrus 495, similarly the Cat 6060 is a modernised and repainted O&K/Terex RH340 after Caterpillar acquired Bucyrus/Terex in 2011
Nice machines, but I expected to see a modern dragline, which usually makes everything else look small. Didn't see a bucket wheel either
That ermosura demaquina god bless the intelligence atdos losque manufactured is beautiful will demaquina is more proqueso for a nation
We would not need these huge machines to dig coal if we made electricity in a smarter way. Using these terrible steam turbines which burn through coal and steam. Huge amounts of steam and huge amounts of coal and huge machines to dig huge amounts of coal.
Dangerous Dangerous amounts of electricity trying to pump electricity 1500 miles from huge power plants. The whole thing is an insane waste.
Expensive and dangerous. Steam turbines are a huge waste and terrible design. We could build hit and miss steam engines with heavy flywheels that use just a small amount of steam to drive generators. Inexpensive easy to maintain, reliable.
Those engines used to power factories with belts and pulleys.
A one inch hydraulic line can lift 5 tons of weight in a front end loader, but these geniuses use a 4 foot pipe of steam to turn a 30 ton shaft with fan blades like stupid morons.
There is a power plant in Georgia burning through 11 million tons of coal per year, making steam to generate enough electricity to blow up every hurricane into a category 5. Not very smart in my opinion.
