On 9-29-09 this Cat D11R is nearing what I think is its final destination, the Ray Mine near Kelvin, Arizona. Empire Transport is in charge of the move.
Comment: Cat D11R : Nope, this was shot before CAT released their CT-660. Though I have seen a few Empire owned CT-660's out on the highway, I've never seen one in heavy-haul service like this. They're always hauling the step-deck trailers that transport engines to and from the shop.
Comment: Alternative: Roller frames and tracks should of been taken off the machine for transport. The rollframers are 25,000 pounds a peice so that's 50,000 pounds and the tracks are 30,000 pounds so thats 80,000 pounds that could of been taken off the machine and made transport a lot safer. I haul the rollerframes and tracks all the time so I know the weight.
